Rooted in Tradition
Guided by Spirit
Who We Are
Templo del Tigre is a plant medicine retreat center in Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula offering traditional, personalized master plant dietas, sacred healing ceremonies, and holistic wellness practices grounded in ancestral wisdom.
Two paths, one vision
We are traditional healers with Celtic and Persian roots, united by a shared commitment to sacred living and holistic healing. Our journey began with a chance meeting in the deep stillness of Khao Sok National Park—a moment that set us on a shared path across continents and ancient traditions.
Over the years, we have immersed ourselves in the sacred lineages of the Amazon and the Mayan world, learning directly from master healers and guardians of ancestral plant medicine. These initiations—and the profound wisdom they carry—shape both our work and the spirit of Templo del Tigre.

Here in the Osa Peninsula—one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth—we have created a sanctuary for healing: a place where rainforest, rivers, and ancient traditions converge to support those seeking deep, embodied transformation.

Our Approach
Healing is remembering who we truly are
We offer master plant dietas rooted in sacred Amazonian tree medicines and traditional uses of sacred tobacco (Nicotiana rustica), guided by the teachings of the Mamancunawa lineage. All our work is held within a container of care, integrity, and deep respect for the plants and spirits we serve.

Our retreats are designed as deeply personal, one-on-one journeys. No large groups. No shortcuts. Just committed, intentional work—where plant medicine is supported by:
-
Traditional ceremonies
-
Daily rituals and dieta protocols
-
Integration support before and after your retreat
-
Optional holistic support for extended stays: yoga, breathwork, sound healing, and women’s wellness practices
We trust that true healing unfolds slowly, reverently, and authentically.

What Makes Templo del Tigre Different
A rare sanctuary for deep, personal healing
1:1 Master Plant Dietas
Every retreat is fully personalized. We honor the power of sacred tobacco and Amazonian tree medicines through intimate, one-on-one ceremonies—not large groups or generic blends.
Lineage-Based Practice
We’ve spent over a decade walking these paths under the guidance of initiated elders. Our work honors the Mamancunawa and Shipibo lineages and the sacred protocols they carry.
Embodied Integration
For those staying beyond the dieta, practices like yoga, sound healing, and women’s wellness therapies become part of the integration process—supporting your return from isolation and anchoring the healing through the body.
Sacred Setting
Located on private land near Corcovado, we are surrounded by rainforest and a pristine river, with the calm waters of Golfo Dulce and the wild Pacific coast within easy reach.
Conscious & Ethical
We honor your sovereignty. We’re not here to fix or save. We walk beside you, holding space for what is ready to unfold and transform.

Our Commitment To You
Safety. Sacredness. Sovereignty
Your safety—physical, emotional, and energetic—is the foundation of everything we do.
- We begin with thorough health and readiness screenings
- We support you before, during, and after your retreat with clear preparation and integration guidance
We never rush or commercialize plant medicine. Everything is offered with consent, care, and genuine connection
The Land & Community
Nature is medicine
Templo del Tigre is cradled by wild jungle and just steps from a pristine river with private access—a rare sanctuary in the heart of Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula. Each day, the land awakens with vibrant birdsong—scarlet macaws and toucans weaving their calls into the rhythm of the forest. In the distance, howler monkeys echo the wild presence surrounding us.
This environment is more than beautiful—it is deeply restorative. The lush rainforest, flowing river, and nearby tropical coastlines create a living medicine that supports and amplifies every guest’s healing journey.
We walk lightly here, attuned to the land’s cycles and teachings. Our practice is rooted in respect for the earth, the ancestral wisdom guiding our path, and the subtle energies that hold space for transformation.
As part of this commitment, we cultivate a permaculture farm, growing much of our own—and our guests’—food. This focus on sustainability and regeneration deepens our bond with the land and enriches the holistic healing we offer. Through mindful stewardship and presence, we nurture a reciprocal relationship that honors both nature and spirit.
